Cool Site #22

I don't know what it is about this simple game - but kids love it! It doesn't even have a name! All you have to do is click and hold the red square and move it around so it does not touch a blue or black object. Sounds easy - but it is actually really hard!

Cool App From School #3

National Geographic for Kids App

Just like the magazine, the National Geographic App introduces kids to the animal world around them. This app gives students experience with non-fiction text in a highly interactive format with pictures, videos, audio and leveled texts. Best part - it's free!!

Cool Site #21 Animal Cams

San Diego Zoo Animal Cams
Is your favorite animal a Polar Bear? How about a Panda? Need to do some animal research? Well this is the post for you. Check out the following sites that have animal cams for you to watch, learn and explore! The sites are also full of information on the animals and have wonderful links to other sites about conservation of many species. I especially like the Condor Cam from the San Diego Zoo since new baby condors are in the nest that the parent condors are taking care of - amazing to watch!!

Finally...Pottermore!

Finally...Pottermore! My daughter has been waiting for over a year for this and finally it is starting to be rolled out. Pottermore is where you will find everything Harry Potter. Pottermore is more than a fan site - Pottermore is a transmedia experience where readers will be able to interact with and help the Potter stories come alive. Originally Pottermore was slated to open last October, but was delayed until now. They are rolling out "admission" to Pottermore slowly - so sign up now to get your invite in a few days.
Here is a great video by J,K. Rowling explaining Pottermore.

MangaHigh is a great site for both teachers and students. Teachers can create a free account and can register their students, track their progress, and develop lessons accordingly. Students love this site because of the fun games. Even if your school/class doesn't have an account you can still play free, fun, educational math games by clicking here.

Recently, I did a review for the game, Draw a Stickman. Click here to play the game. Now, from the makers of Draw a Stickman comes....Draw a Stickman Episode 2!

Same idea - draw a stickman - or woman- and watch all the trouble it gets into and out of! Best part of Drawing a Stickman is taking a break and being creative for a little bit. Have fun playing Episode 2!

Cool Site #17

Grammar Ninja is one of those games that do a great job mixing fun with learning in a simple way. Pick your skill level then simply throw a Ninja Star at the part of speech asked for. Use your mouse to cross out choices and write on the sentence.
